Square is based in San Francisco and was founded in February 2009 by a very talented team, including Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter. Square is backed by Khosla Ventures, and a team of angels including Marissa Mayer, Shawn Fanning, and Kevin Rose. You can view the entire Square Team here.
