Well, we work hard to get the best and latest samples from around the globe (literally), and we want to make sure we get them back once you decide how much you love the products. Bamboo Plywood

Bamboo plywood is an excellent option when it comes to your furniture and cabinetry. Bamboo plywood is a super dense product making it more durable than a lot of common/popular hardwoods (we’re talking to you oak!). The bGreen Mobile Showroom used bamboo ply in several different applications - our kitchen cabinets, a bookcase, shelving, and even a seating area. In all cases, we were able to showcase the unique characteristics of the bamboo.

We know what you’re thinking, if you love it so much why don’t you marry it? We will consider this, but before we do let’s explore this bamboo space a bit more.

Let’s start off with the basics. Bamboo can grow 24 inches or more a day! In fact, a bamboo plant can reach full size within 3-4 months. This quality is what makes bamboo such a sought after product for the green building industry. Fast growth is a key to bamboo’s success, but if not harvested properly the result is a sub par product that doesn’t help the environment. bGreen TV, Episode #7 - Factory Tour

Here is quick tour of the factory in Medford, MA that is handling the majority of the fabrication for the bGreen Mobile Showroom and will be doing most of the wood-based fabrication for our bGreen Building projects. It’s not every day that you get to see exactly where your FSC cabinets will be made or your where Plyboo counter tops shaped and cut to size.

This shop has an amazing amount of technology and machinery, enabling them to work quickly and efficiently on nearly any size project. We’re happy to provide you this brief glimpse behind the factory doors. Oh, and it’s REALLY loud in there, so we’ve added some soothing music to try to disguise the noise. Enjoy!
